​Site Logistics Manager - Galena Park, Texas

This position is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound transportation activities and procurement of supplies based on production schedule (by rail, truck and trailer, and/or ship). Interacts closely with Production Customer Service Representatives and Production Superintendents to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns and requests regarding raw material inventory and shipments.  Works closely with the Site Controller as required. Reports directly to the Plant Manager.


  • Minimum of 5 years logistics experience in a chemical plant/refinery; Bachelor's degree preferred  
  • Issue COA to drivers
  • Inventory/ordering of supplies
  • Update/maintain truck schedule
  • Update/monitor loads and offloads which go off-site
  • Update rejected loads into PM Operations
  • Audit paperwork



Lab Supervisor - Houston, Texas
Responsible for all operations and technical activities related to product quality functions at lab facilitates; monitors lab operational activities to ensure compliance to applicable industry standards and MarkWest adopted policies, standards and processes; ensures effective communication and coordinating between plant operations and lab activities. This position will provide technical support, leadership and oversight for product quality determination at lab facilities.  Reports directly to the Plant Manager.


  • Degree in relevant Science or Engineering from a 4 year accredited college or university preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in chemical plant/refinery
  • Leads and develops employees to meet organizational expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishment.
  • Manage the overall laboratory operations to ensure accurate, timely data for product quality.
  • Technical subject matter expert on product analytical methods, specifications, and equipment by keeping up to date with changing technology and new developments in the chemical field.
  • Plan, evaluate, and improve processes, procedures and controls to enhance quality, efficiency, and output of laboratory facilities
  • Establish and maintain controls to monitor the operation of the labs. Ensure the health and safety of lab personnel by planning, implementing, monitor and maintain processes and controls to ensure state, federal, company and industry standards are followed

  • Chemical manufacturing strongly preferred or related industry
  • Hands on, with heavy PSM experience
  • Very positive management style for good employee relations
  • Strong cost sensitivity - cost/benefit

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications:  Excel, Word.  Strong mathematical ability.  
  • 1-3 years of work experience within a manufacturing plant.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service attitude.
  • The incumbent should possess a general background in Office Administration and Manufacturing functions.  
  • Will be expected to work independently and be able to solve routine issues with limited supervision.  
  • Ability to interact effectively with other Departments to provide assistance within the plant and also with outside organizations.
